Here are some photos of the Rolls Royce Merlin 70 engine in the flying Spitfire Mk.VIII at Australia's Temora Aviation Museum.

Note that the scavenger pump on the front of the oil tank is not standard, but rather a Temora modification.

These photos may be helpful to modellers who building the forthcoming 1/32 scale Tamiya Spitfire Mk.IX. This engine will only differ in very minor details.
