Sopwith Triplane

The Sopwith Triplane is a required element in any Canadian Modelling Collection. It was made famous by Raymond Collishaw and the "Black Flight" in WW1.

The photos in this set are of the replica held by the Canadian National Aeronautical Collection in Rockcliffe, Ottawa, Ontario. It is fully flyable and this author has witnessed flights and smelled the hot castor oil at various times when it was rolled out and flown at airshows in the Ottawa area back in the late '60's.
