I managed to get out to see the progress
on the new Air and Space Museum at Dulles
International Airport today, and all I can say is wow.
Only about 35-40 aircraft are in the
1000-foot long hangar right now, but let the pictures
speak for themselves.
The official opening is Dec 15 this
Aircraft already there (and most in pictures here):
B29 Enola Gay
Aichi M6A1 Seiran
Leer Jet 35 (or 36)
Lockheed Vega "Winnie May"
P-51 "Excalibur III"
a Baka Bomb for good measure
Gulfhawk 1 and 2
Casa 352L (JU-52)
A good number of gliders and small
civil.stunt aircraft are also hanging on
