Part Three: Friday

Today, Friday, was the last day for modelers to bring in their creations and the contest room filled fast.   Armor and artillery moved in and lots of aircraft landed on the tables.    A fleet of submarines and other ships occupied several tables along with a couple junks with their sails spread wide.

Other ships, from space representing real and fictional travel beyond earth were displayed.  One figure displayed depicted the character Kane as he inspected an opening egg pod in the movie "Alien."  

B-1s were on hand as was a model of the B-52 depicted in another  movie -- "Doctor Stranglove" -- complete with Major T.J. "King" Kong riding a falling H-bomb to its target below.

Judging started today in the evening.   Results will be announced Saturday evening.
