Description

 

Old black and white photographs from WWII can suggest many alternative colour possibilities to artists - especially photos of Luftwaffe aircraft!

For example, look at these "variation sur un théme" for Black 8, a Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-6 of I/JG 300 equiped with Neptun radar.

Here are the my two alternate propositions for the colours of this aircraft:

RLM 76 Light Blue with RLM 75 Grey Violet on the top and side (see profile at the top of the page), or

 

 

Overall RLM 76 Light Blue.

Both schemes are depicted with the side of the rear fuselage displaying the remnants of old black temporary paint.
